ABOUT 70% of Optus customers who pre-ordered the new iPhone choose to have it delivered to their home.

For avid customers who can't wait to get their hands on the new handset, the iPhone 5 will be hit All 'Yes' Optus stores around the country at 8am, Friday 21 September.

Existing Optus customers who pre-ordered the device will get to skip past any lines with priority pick up at a time convenient to them from the below four key locations:

  • 280 George St, Sydney
  • Shop 9 Tattersalls Arcade, 211 -225 Queen St, Brisbane
  • 253 Bourke St, Melbourne
  • 659 Hay St, Perth

Along with avoiding the hassle of queues, a special VIP experience is awaiting these customers:

  • Staff will be on hand to manage the rush with a queue management app
  • Access to tech experts to help them settle into their new handset
  • As a thank you, customers will also receive a special giveaway item and get refreshed with a take away drink and food bag
