Jenna's beauty shining bright on national stage
PROSERPINE-born Jenna Kerschbaumer believes wholeheartedly in the values of being your own kind of beautiful, a motto which has propelled her to the national championships of the Australian Continents Pageant.
Ms Kerschbaumer, who now lives in Rockhampton, has been selected to represent Queensland in Sydney from November 2-5.
The 29-year-old will be competing in the 'Mrs' division and hopes to be selected so she can go on to represent her country - which is her "ultimate goal" - in the International Continents Pageant next year.
Currently a receptionist for Excelcare, Ms Kerschbaumer said she enjoyed working for an organisation that helped support people to live in their own homes for longer throughout rural and regional Queensland.
She said liked her work as it was rewarding and gave her the opportunity to learn plenty of useful life skills.
Ms Kerschbaumer said she had already enjoyed a few appearances locally as a national finalist, including visiting the children's ward at the hospital, taking part in National Tree Day, and helping co-host a mini-pageant event in Rockhampton for Make-A-Wish Australia.
Competing in the pageants has given her confidence, taught her skills such as public speaking, and helped her to be able to fundraise for charities.
She said she truly believed that beauty came from the inside.
