THE Whitsunday Latin Festival is well and truly under way, but don't fret as the best is yet to come.
From tomorrow to Sunday, the festival moves to Daydream Island and there's still a chance to snatch tickets up.
As her name suggests, Pascale "Salsette" Dernocoure is the star of the festival.
She held three extensive workshops at the Fitness Venue "old church" in Cannonvale and now the fun is really about to begin.
Joining her on Daydream Island will be three professional instructors Tony "Bachata Whisperer" Lara, Ifty and Sandrina the 2014 Amateur Zouk Champions as well as a yoga and zumba teacher.
Intensive workshops on the island will range from bachata, salsa and zouk-lambada.
Considered the most sensual style of dance in the world, Latin dancing has something for everyone and the Whitsunday Latin Festival is the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill and brush up on your technique.
Pascale's dancing journey started at the age of five and she spent the following 10 years studying ballet, jazz, tap and contemporary dance.
After taking a break for two years, she discovered her passion for Latin dance, quickly finding herself teaching and performing in both salsa and samba.
In 2010 Pascale's brand "Salsettes" was born, a now highly regarded group of Ladies Shines Teams ranging from intermediate to professional levels and including choreographies of many styles such as salsa, cha cha, burlesque, samba and bachata.
As much as Pascale loves to dance, she loves to teach and two salsa intensive workshops will be staged on the island.
Having been in the Whitsundays before, Pascale looks forward to creating a bang at the Whitsunday Latin Festival.
"I love the community base of it (Latin dancing). It's a real social dance and one of the most partner-focused dances ever," she said.
It's $149 to take part in the Whitsunday Latin Festival's three days on Daydream and the island is offering a special $190 for two nights' accommodation for twin share.
