"I read a book to the kids for Book Week and had an absolute blast, so that's why I wanted to do Storytime,” Cr Petterson said.

With Father's Day last weekend, Cr Petterson read the youngsters Dads: A Field Guide by Justin Ractliffe, before creating their very own Father's Day card during craft time.

Kids had a ball dancing along to the Hokey Pokey, Dingle Dangle Scarecrow, Row Row Row Your Boat, and Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.

Cr Petterson said it wouldn't be the last time he'd pay a visit.

"If I can do a little thing by going down and singing songs and reading books and watching their faces light up, it's worth the time,” he said.
