Kookaburras back to winning ways against Great Britain
HOCKEY: The Kookaburras have got their Olympic campaign back on track with a hard-fought win over Great Britain.
Having lost their two previous group games, the Aussies needed to get back to winning ways to put them in line for a quarter-final spot and they did that with a 2-1 success.
It took Graham Reid's men until the final quarter to seal the win with goals from Aran Zalewski and Jacob Whetton.
The Brits did pull a goal back through Ashley Jackson to put some late pressure on.
But the world No.1 side held on for a second win of the tournament.
The Aussies now sit third in their group, with four teams from six advancing to the last eight.
