Kylie reveals ‘nervous breakdown’ over split

KYLIE Minogue has revealed the emotional and psychological toll of her most recent relationship failure and has spoken of how she needed to get away from the situation for a short time by travelling to Thailand where she spent six days with her girlfriends.

Minogue, 49, split from Joshua Sasse last February.

She told The Sunday Times: "I just wanted to stop.

"I knew I needed to heal… My physical system was compromised. I think it's called a nervous breakdown."

According to The Sun, although she was heartbroken by the spit, Kylie is positive about the future.

She admitted: "I went through all the motions of 'This is what people do.'

"And it wasn't the right union. I've never been that woman, that girl who dreams of walking down the aisle.

"You dust yourself off and you go through that period of 'Never again. Not going to do it.'"

Minogue looked as though she was back to her best last night as she attended a pre-Bafta dinner at Mark's Club in Mayfair.

The pint-sized pop star looked chic in a print dress and metallic heels, and she wore a big smile on her face.

Earlier this month The Sun reported that Sasse had been dumped by his girlfriend just days before their secret wedding.

The actor, 30, was due to marry Harriet Colling, 29, after a whirlwind romance.

However, The Sun Online revealed Harriet, who works as an actor, pulled the plug on the low key ceremony just days before the nuptials.

"They started dating shortly after his split with Kylie and at first they were smitten. But he changed over time and she felt he was isolating her from her family.

"Her family and friends are over the moon - no one liked Joshua. They think she can do much better than him."
