Labor likely to win South Brisbane

THE Australian Labor Party is edging closer to claiming a win in the South Brisbane by-election.

In two-party preferred results, Labor candidate Jackie Trad has 51.77% of votes while LNP candidate Clem Grehan has 48.22%.

Postal votes are still being counted.

The LNP has held off on conceding defeat until all postal votes are tallied.
