LJ Hooker is back

LJ HOOKER Real Estate has returned to the Whitsundays, with an office opening in Cannonvale.

Jess and Nathan Hunter, along with Jess's parents Jenny Mann and John Boyd, have opened the office on the corner of Shute Harbour and Paluma Rd, Cannonvale.

Ms Mann, who was born and bred in the Whitsundays, said she was very excited to be bringing LJ Hooker's unique approach to real estate back to the area.

"This is a great opportunity for us to re-establish the family business in our home town," she said.

Ms Mann started work for LJ Hooker in Proserpine in 1995 which Mr Boyd bought in 1996.

Together with other investors, LJ Hooker opened in the Whitsunday Shopping Centre in 1997 and then in Airlie Beach in 2000.

In 2003, Mr Boyd and Ms Mann sold the businesses.

In 2006, they opened a LJ Hooker in Gatton in south-east Queensland and eventually in Plainland.

They have now returned to the Whitsunday region.

Former Cannonvale State and Proserpine State High student, Ms Hunter will take on the role of principal at LJ Hooker Whitsunday.

She has also worked with LJ Hooker offices in Mackay and on the Sunshine Coast.

Mr Boyd, whose real estate career started in 1970, brings his expertise and experience to the auction process for the office.
