Local government polls open this Saturday
MORE than three million people are expected to decide the fate of our local government candidates this Saturday, March 19.
The following is a list of addresses of your local polling booths.
All you need to do is arrive between the hours of 8am and 6pm on polling day and make a decision on who you want to represent you.
Division 1: Airlie Beach Police Citizens Youth Club, Shute Harbour Road, Airlie Beach.
Division 2: Whitsunday Christian College, 26 Paluma Road.
Division 3: Conway Beach Penhallurick Residence, 1 Penhallurick Esplanade, Conway Beach, Father Tom Guard Hall, St Catherine's Catholic College, 90 Renwick Road, Proserpine and Proserpine Hospital in Taylor Street.
Division 4: Collinsville LG Community Centre and Dingo Beach Community Centre.
Division 5: Bowen PCYC, Cnr Hay Street and Queens Road and Bowen Hospital, 61-65 Gregory Street.
Division 6: Bowen PCYC, Cnr Hay Street and Queens Road, Gumlu State School, De Salis Street, Merinda Merinda State School, Bergl Street and Queens Beach, State School.
If you are unable to attend your local polling booth you can apply for a pre-poll or a postal vote.
