Local guys to star in new TV show When Love Comes to Town
TWO of the Whitsundays' most eligible bachelors will bare their souls on national television in 2014.
Kendall Nash and Doug Davy are set to star in the new Channel 9/Southern Star Entertainment production 'When Love Comes to Town', which was filmed in Airlie Beach last week.
The show's producers brought 12 single girls from the city to the Whitsundays as part of their nationwide search to 'find the one'.
The girls met Kendall and Doug at Villa Botanica and spent three days getting to know the boys in the Whitsundays.
If one of the girls felt romance was in the air, she had the option to stay in town and pursue a relationship. Alternatively, the girls could all move on with the show and try to find love with the next man in another town.
Former Getaway and Farmer Wants a Wife presenter, Natalie Gruzlewski, who is hosting the show, said the Whitsunday bachelors were "fantastic".
Without giving too much away, she said Airlie Beach was the 10th stop on the show and "we've had a ball".
"I can say that there's [been] a few sparks and some romance along the way - plenty of highs and lows on the journey," she said.
"It has been a lot of fun and I think a few genuine connections have been made as well."
Natalie, who visited the region plenty of times in her role on the travel show Getaway, said the Whitsundays was one of her favourite places.
"We really love how much community support we've received and how we've been welcomed with open arms - how locals have really got behind the boys in each town and Airlie's been no exception," she said.
