Man, 19, injured in single-vehicle crash near Innisfail

POLICE are investigating a single vehicle traffic crash near Innisfail early this morning.

Initial investigations indicate around 5am, police responded to reports a vehicle had crashed on the Bruce Highway 20 kilometres north of Innisfail.

The driver, a 19-year-old man and sole occupant of the vehicle, was taken to the Innisfail Hospital life-threatening injuries.

It is expected the man will be airlifted to Townsville Hospital this morning.

The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating. No further information is available at this time.
