Hervey Bay man accused of sexual assault dies

A HERVEY Bay man accused of sexual assault has had his charges dropped following his death.

Michael William Torrens, formerly of Torquay, was 65-years-old at the time of his death.

He was charged with two counts of sexual assault.

His case was mentioned in Hervey Bay District Court yesterday, where Judge Michael Shanahan discharged all allegations on Torrens.
