Man air-lifted after snake bite

A MAN was airlifted by the RACQ CQ Rescue helicopter on Thursday afternoon after he was bitten by a brown snake at his home. The crew collected the 41-year-old man from Proserpine Hospital at 2.15pm after he had been treated with anti-venom. He was in a stable condition throughout the flight nd arrived at Mackay Base Hospital at 3.30pm, where the patient underwent further observation in the Intensive Care Unit. He was discharged from the hospital on Monday.
