Man airlifted to hospital after Easter Sunday snake attack

A 49-year-old man was airlifted to Rockhampton Hospital yesterday after he was attacked by a snake.
At 4.40pm, the RACQ Capricorn Rescue Helicopter Services was contacted by Retrieval Services Queensland to attend a snake bite victim at a station south of Woorabinda.
The man was working near a homestead when he was bitten on both ankles by a snake.
He was initially treated on scene by QAS before the helicopter arrived.
Once the helicopter arrived the patient was assessed a treated by the Intensive Care Paramedic before being transferred in a stable condition to Rockhampton.
