Man allegedly caught with drugs at Airlie Beach venue

A 19-YEAR-OLD Proserpine man has been dealt with by police after allegedly being found at a licensed venue in possession of illegal drugs.  

On November 24 about 1.45am police attended to a licensed venue in Airlie Beach after receiving information.    

Officers located the 19-year-old-man at the venue as a result.  

After a conversation with the male it will be alleged that clip-seal bags containing tablets and powder were found in his pockets.  

The 19-year-old man was served with a notice to appear at the Proserpine Magistrates Court on December 14 to have the matter heard for the offence of possessing a dangerous drug.
