Man caught driving day after court took licence away

A MAGISTRATE has slammed a teen for "clear contempt of court" after he was caught driving only a day after having his licence disqualified.

At 2.30am on July 9 Corey James Coleman was pulled over at an RBT on Denham Street with two other people in the car.

The day before, the 19-year-old had been in Rockhampton Magistrate's Court where Magistrate Michael O'Driscoll disqualified from driving for three months.

He was also chastised by the magistrate for chewing gum in the court room.
