Man charged over alleged child abduction
POLICE have charged a man after an alleged child abduction at Hope Island on the Gold Coast.
It will be alleged that around 3.20pm on Thursday a man entered a Halycon Way business and removed a three-year-old boy, known to the man, from the premises.
Police issued a child abduction alert last night and the boy was located safe and well in Coolangatta around 9pm.
A 33-year-old Coombabah man has been charged with one count each of child stealing, enter premises and commit indictable offence and contravention of a domestic violence order.
He was due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on Friday.
