Man convinced his brother isn't the baby's father

WHEN you visit a newborn in hospital, you normally take flowers, a gift basket or maybe one of those cheap bears from the gift shop.    But *Steve decided to go for something a little more memorable.

He accused his brother's girlfriend of cheating just hours after she had given birth, he explained on Reddit.

This iconic family moment was witnessed not only by the baby in question - but also both sets of grandparents - as well as Steve's brother - who quickly escorted him from the room.

The baby's mother could be heard screaming at them as they hurried out the door.

But things only get more insane from this point on...   Once safely outside, Steve told his brother, who is black, why he thought that she had been cheating.

"He couldn't be the father as the baby is white and his girlfriend is half Asian apparently," Steve posted on Reddit.

"Then my brother starts talking about how he is suspicious of not being the father too and that he thinks she was cheating.

"He said she was hiding her phone when he came in the room and also that his friends saw her on Tinder.

"He doesn't want to sign anything until he gets a DNA test."

But before any test results came in - Steve was back with an update.

His partner has now admitted she had been cheating on Steve's brother with another man.

While that revelation does swing things in Steve's favour - it does leave us with one massive dilemma.

Even if it's true - is it ever appropriate to accuse someone of cheating just after they have given birth?

For once, Reddit seemed pretty united on this one - slamming Steve for bringing up such a delicate topic in the most inappropriate way possible.

"You're not wrong Walter. You're an a**hole," a commenter said.

"WTF is wrong with you??" another asked incredulously.

"I can't think of a worse time of being accused of cheating than when you just went through giving birth," another said.

"Even two dark-skinned people can occasionally have a surprisingly light-skinned baby.

"The information about Tinder is obviously important here - but skin colour alone is a horrible reason to bring that up."

"Also, don't rule out genetic disorders," a wise commenter added.

"I'm an albino kid born to two brown people and I hate being asked if I'm adopted or my mother getting 'hmmmm' looks."
