Man crashes into tree after almost hitting kangaroo

A MAN in his 30s was transported to Emerald Hospital after a single vehicle crash in Capella overnight.

The man crashed into a tree near Hibernia Rd about 7.50pm.

QAS reported the driver swerved to avoid hitting a kangaroo. 

Earlier, about 6.30pm paramedics were called to a car and truck crash on Strathdickie Rd and Staniland Dr in Strathdickie.

QAS said two patients were transported in stable conditions to Proserpine Hospital.
