Man hit by buggy on Hamilton Island

A MAN in his 40s has been hit by a golf buggy on Front Street, Hamilton Island.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the man had suffered a "large larceration to his leg", with one crew currently on scene.

The spokesperson said they received the call at around 12.15pm today.

The Whitsunday Times has also received unconfirmed reports of a buggy rollover on Main Street, Hamilton Island at around 8.30am this morning.

However, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said they had no details on this incident at this point in time.
