Manpower coming back to Airlie Beach

AFFECTIONATELY known as the 'thunder from down under', Australia's Manpower are coming direct from Las Vegas to Airlie Beach tomorrow night.

Manpower Australia have been performing for women across the globe for two decades, rising from humble beginnings on the Gold Coast in a Surfers Paradise nightclub to a residency at the Excalibur Resort and Casino on the Las Vegas glitter strip.

With two troupes - one based in Las Vegas while the other is constantly on tour - there are now more than 22 Manpower Aussies working in the US.

Tomorrow (Thursday, April 3), the male troupe will be performing their Girls' Night Outback show on stage at Airlie's Magnums Hotel.

With dynamic dancing and state of the art lighting, Manpower's fully choreographed two-hour stage spectacular is a show that has wooed more than eight million women in 15 countries across the globe.

Manpower Australia are never far from the media spotlight and can boast appearances on The View, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Tyra Banks.

Performances have also been filmed with Heidi Klum for Project Runway, Breaking Amish and Drop Dead Diva.

Magnums assistant manager Ben Lougoon said Manpower always put on an outstanding show, with their last one at the hotel heralded a great success.

"The women of the Whitsundays won't want to miss this international quality Manpower act that has been driving millions of women crazy in Las Vegas over the last few years," he said.

Tickets cost $30 and are available from the venue direct or through www.ticketmaster.com.au.
