MBW take four firsts for snags

MASTER Butchers Whitsunday has scooped the pool in the North Queensland division of the Sausage Kings awards.

For the first time Don Cameron and Karen Rix of MWB will be taking four sausage products to the Ekka in Brisbane later this year.

Between MWB's two shops they won a King Award for their lamb, beef, chicken and pork sausages.

Also scoring a silver and bronze award for their hamburgers and a bronze and sliver for their chicken sausages and bronze award for their lamb sausage.

Butcher behind the product Don Cameron said the two shops did pretty well every year, but it was the first time he had won first prize for his beef and pork sausages.

"It is a really good one to win. They are your bread and butter sausage," he said.

"People of the Whitsundays are proud to see us winning competitions (by) having a good selection of quality products.

"I enjoy making good products".
