More than just a laugh
EVERYONE has a sense of humour - some "bad" and some "good".
But many people don't know that having one can do more than just make people around us laugh, much more.
That's where Fiona McGary comes in.
A professional comedian and speaker, Fiona will bring her Change with Humour workshop to Airlie Beach next week to teach people just how humour can help us overcome challenges and create changes in our lives.
It was Fiona's fascination with understanding the mysterious force behind humour and her desire to help others use humour to change people which inspired her to create the workshop.
"We talk about our 'sense of humour' all the time - everyone's is different, some people have 'good' or 'bad' ones, and some people seem to have none at all, or life has beaten them down so much they seem to have lost it," she said.
During the course, attendees will find out what humour really is, what their humour profile is, the health benefits of humour, how to use humour to ease stress, fear, grief, anxiety or depression, and much more.
Fiona has performed at The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and The Sydney Comedy Festival and uses her skills to help others use humour as a tool to grow.
She will also perform at the Whitsunday Reef Festival's Comedy Gala on August 11.
