Jayde Kendall's alleged killer a step closer to trial
THE man accused of murdering Gatton teen Jayde Amanda Kendall has had his matter mentioned briefly in court.
Lockyer Waters man Brenden Jacob Bennetts, 19, was charged with Miss Kendall's murder following the discovery of her body last year.
He has also been charged with interfering with a corpse.
His matter was mentioned briefly in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday where it was adjourned until next month.

Miss Kendall, 16, was last seen on August 14, 2015 getting into a red Toyota Corolla outside Lockyer District High School.
She was reported missing the following day, sparking a highly-publicised police search across the region.
Her body was found 13 days later, dumped in a paddock off Allens Rd, Upper Tenthill, following a tip-off.
Mr Bennetts has not applied for bail and remains in custody at Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre at Wacol.
The matter will be back in court on July 8.
