Music, food and fun will fill the air at VMR’s Music Sundays
LIVE music is back at the Volunteer Marine Rescue (VMR) Club this Sunday and locals are invited to rock out.
After a few months off the radar, VMR Music Sundays made its comeback last month.
Event organiser, Jenni Wasson said the comeback generated a huge level of interest from the public.
"We've got a few acts already registered," she said.
"There's a Blues band, an acoustic rock duo, a rock band and a bunch of solo artists ready to perform."
The club's previous event featured Blues based music only but with the new format, the audience can enjoy a number of music styles including Country, Rock n Roll, Rhythm, Blues and anything in between.
Ms Wasson said the location would make for a relaxed Sunday afternoon.
"Down there we have an extended grass area and it's fantastic because there's a lot more room for people to sit outside and enjoy the view," she said.
"If they want, (attendees) can also sit outside and have a drink at the bar."
The event itself is free but to raise money for the VMR, Ms Wasson said they would have raffle tickets on sale and a barbecue.
"They need the support and they do so much for the area," she said.
Anyone can perform at VMR Music Sunday's and Ms Wasson said those interested could contact her directly.
"You can pre-register or see me on the day if you'd like to be involved but performers must bring their own instruments," she said.
"We will be supplying amplifiers so performers won't have to bring them along."
