Must win for Eagles

AUSSIE RULES: Travelling to Mackay proved a challenging start for the senior Sea Eagles, starting slow against the Saints.

The Saints were stronger in the first half, getting off to a few goal lead.

However, the Sea Eagles lifted in the second half with good defensive pressure and a stronger attack on the ball.

Unfortunately, the Saints got home with a six goal win.

The Eagles now take on Magpies this Saturday at home from 2.45pm in a must win game.

The under-17s played well but fell short by just seven points, going down 11.5.71 to 9.10.64.

The under-14s came away with a 7.6.48 to 1.1.7 win.

It was a very scrappy start to the game, with both teams going full on.

It did not take long for the Eagles to create some space and open up the game.

The under-12s played 18 a side on a full field, finding it tough with rough play.

The only goal kicked by the Eagles was scored by Oscar Lindsay, with the final score being 60 to 6 points.
