New brand to aid business
GROWERS and producers of locally-made products are being invited to become part of an exciting new Whitsundays brand.
The ‘Made in the Whitsundays’ brand has been launched to create a unified platform for quality products made or grown in the Whitsundays.
From jewellery to jam and everything in between, as long as the product is grown or made in the Whitsundays, it could be eligible to sport the ‘Made in the Whitsundays’ logo.
The aim of the scheme is to keep money in the local economy and support local industries, ensuring long-term economic growth and prosperity for the Whitsunday region.
Enterprise Whitsundays’ CEO Rebecca Andrews said the ‘Made in the Whitsundays’ brand was a very exciting opportunity for growers, producers, artists, craftspeople and manufacturers.
