New CEO expected in May

A NEW chief executive officer is expected to be in place at Enterprise Whitsunday (EW) early next month.

Applications for the position closed last Thursday and EW deputy chairman Mark Gaudry said that more than 10 applications were received with some high quality candidates.

“We are very happy with the response and the standard of the applicants,” Mr Gaudry said.

Mr Gaudry said interviews would be conducted over the next few days with the aim of having someone in place in early May.

“Obviously depending on the circumstances of the person once we chose someone it is hard to say how long it will take before they start work but we are hopeful of having someone in place by the start of May,” he said.

The position has been vacant since Rebecca Andrews resigned in early March.
