New teachers and new smiles at Cannonvale State School
CANNONVALE State School welcomed nine new teachers to its grounds last week.
Chloe Morey relocated from Rockhampton and is teaching Year 1 at Cannonvale State School.
Julianne O'Brien, who has more than 30 years of teaching experience, previously taught at Proserpine State School and has been transferred to Cannonvale to teach Year 5.
Erin Moore joins the school from East Ayr State School and is in her seventh year of teaching.
Joleen Tirendi has been transferred from Brisbane and is teaching Year 2.
Johanna Winstanley has been teaching for six years and now teaches Year 2 at Cannonvale State School.
Fresh out of University, Karlee Brown has been transferred from Brisbane and is in her first year of teaching.
Rachel Cartwright has been appointed to Cannonvale State School from Brisbane and is teaching Year 3.
Karli Hunter, who underwent work experience at St Catherine's where she also worked as a teacher's aide, is teaching Prep this year at Cannonvale State School.
Kerrie Suckling has been teaching for two years and returned to the school to teach Prep.
Kristy Pethers has transferred from Merinda State School and is a master teacher which is a brand new administration position in Education Queensland schools where 300 have been appointed across the state.
Mrs Pethers' master teacher role at Cannonvale is to model and coach teachers across the school with a focus on reading and spelling.
