Storm takes out win

A KNEE injury to Glenn Stewart compounded Manly's woes in its 26-22 defeat at the hands of the Storm at Brookvale Oval last night.

The visitors took a 12-0 lead thanks to tries from Todd Lowrie and skipper Cameron Smith, who converted both touchdowns.

But by half-time the home side was leading 18-12 on the back of four-pointers to Daly Cherry-Evans, Brett Stewart and Jorge Taufua.

Bryan Norrie's try five minutes after the break gave the Storm the lead again and Matt Duffie's touchdown followed by a Smith penalty gave the Storm breathing space.

A late Dean Whare try for the hosts was just consolation.
