Cleaner charged with stealing from police station

A CLEANER has been charged after cash was allegedly stolen from Coffs Harbour's police station.

Last month cash was allegedly stolen from the same location on numerous occasions from inside the police station on Moonee St.

About 7am on Friday, police arrested the 59-year-old man at Coffs Harbour Police Station.

He was issued a future court attendance notice for steal property as clerk/servant (less than $2000), and is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Monday, March 17.
