O’Keefe returns to KC’s next week
DAUGHTER of legendary Australian musician Johnny O'Keefe and a brilliant performer in her own right, Vicky O'Keefe is coming to town.
Performing at KC's Grill and Bar, O'Keefe is a guaranteed crowd pleaser with her soulful guitar tunes.
The muso began her life-long love affair with music at the age of five, beginning with piano before following in her father's footsteps with the six-string.
KC's Grill and Bar owner Peter Chengody said their live music program was all about giving their clientele a great night out.
"We're trying to give patrons a wonderful listening experience by bringing some of the best artists from around Australia to Airlie Beach," he said.
"Vicky's got Australian rock and roll royalty in her blood."
O'Keefe has used this musical heritage as her muse with tributes to her late father often being a theme in her work, however the singer/songwriter has shown she's a talented musician of her own accord having supported such acts as Suzi Quatro and Midnight Oil.
"Vicky's no stranger to Airlie Beach; she's played at KC's a number of times in the past and we're happy to be welcoming her back," Mr Chengody said.
O'Keefe's first show at KC's kicks off on Tuesday, June 30 from 8pm with more performances at the venue to follow through the school holidays.
