One dead, two injured in Brisbane stabbing attack

ONE person is dead and two others are fighting for their lives in hospital after a suspected home invasion in Brisbane's southern suburbs.

Emergency services were called to a service station on Kessels Rd, Macgregor on Tuesday shortly after 9.20pm where they found two men with serious stab wounds.

It is understood the injured men, both aged 20, had rushed to the service station for help after an incident nearby.

Police officers then followed a trail of blood for 400m along a footpath where they found the body of a 19-year-old Acacia Ridge man lying on the road in Benaud St.

The two injured men were rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

Police said in a statement on Wednesday three crime scenes had been established, one at the service station and two in Benaud St, which included a car and a house.

Police said preliminary information suggested an altercation may have occurred following a dispute and three men aged in their 20s were assisting with investigations.
