One round left in Kerry Hall Memorial
WHITSUNDAY GOLF: Rod Wecker and Mark McDougall have dominated round three of the Kerry Hall Memorial Challenge, recording the best team score.
Wecker and McDougall carded 62 in the four-ball best-ball stroke competition on Sunday, finishing ahead of Jacqui Wall and Mark Winter (63), Beryl Miller and Geoff Harrison and Scotty Wardroper and Peter Browning (64).
Longest drives on the day went to Brendon Meharry, Gary Goddard, Pam Casey and Pam Kercher while nearest-the-pins were shared among Geoff Harrison (no. 2 and 9), Jimmy McGrath (13), Adam Stralow (16), Ron Thynne (2), Boris Dunn (16) and Pauline Redpath (2 and 16).
The overall result gave the Red team five wins while the Blues notched four, taking their overall lead to 20-13 with one round to play.
The final round is a Tiger Woods stableford competition, to be played on October 11.
The club has a bye this weekend.
