Open Day a big success for the PCYC

WHITSUNDAY PCYC is planning for a bumper year in 2010.

About 200 people of all ages flocked to the PCYC on Saturday morning for the Open Day.

There was something for everyone to sign up for, from sport aerobics to kindy gyms and a host of activities in between.

On the back of a successful Open Day on Saturday, Activities Officer Kylie Smith is confident of hugely successful year.

“It’s looking really good,” she said.

“There is really good team morale.

“There has been a lot of forward planning to make sure we have lots happening.” She also added that the support of the Whitsundays community was phenomenal.

“Great success, great turnout and support from the Whitsundays community was overwhelming,” she said.

While their is something for all ages in 2010, it will be a particularly exciting time for primary and high school kids with skate comps, talent shows, discos and battle of the bands competitions all in the pipeline.
