Operators off to tourism awards
A TOTAL of 24 Whitsudnay tourism operators are in the running to bring home a Queensland Tourism Award from the annual event in Brisbane on Friday night.
Whitsundays Marketing and Development Acting Chief Executive Officer Danielle Krista said hopes were high for the Whitsundays to dominate the awards. "Following the region's success at last year's awards with a number of strong performers, the outstanding number of Whitsunday entries for the 2012 Queensland Tourism Awards is very promising," Mrs Krista said.
