AN out-of-control bushfire is raging in Bullsbrook, about 40 kilometres north-east of Perth, with flames "higher than rooftops", emergency services says.

An Emergency Warning has been issued for homes in Gallagher Road, Della North Road, Asher Road, Old West Road, Kirby Road and Neaves Road.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) has also issued a Watch and Act for people on Gully Road, Robinson Road, Payne Road, Raphael Road, Cooper Road, Rae Road, Strachan Road, West Road, Davidson Street and Stock West Road.

The bushfire is moving fast in a westerly direction and people are advised to leave now if the way is clear.

DFES has warned that there is ember attack and has advised people to close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but leave water running through the system.
