Parking fees adopted for Port of Airlie

WHITSUNDAY Regional Council has resolved to adopt off-street parking fees at the Port of Airlie.

Mayor Jennifer Whitney said fees associated with the Port of Airlie car park were the same fee structure being charged everywhere in Airlie Beach.

"All off-street parking fees in Airlie Beach are uniform, so no stakeholder is advantaged or disadvantaged by having different fees," she said. Parking at the Port of Airlie will cost $2 for the first two hours, increasing to $8 for 24 hours.

Each additional day or part thereof will cost an extra $8.

Monthly, six-month and annual car parking permits are also available.

A monthly permit costs $168, a six-month permit is $840 and an annual permit, $1344.
