Pay debacle for Prossie staff

STAFF at Proserpine Hospital have been affected by the payroll debacle that has followed the rollout of a new payroll system for Queensland Health staff.

Queensland Health staff across the state have had issues with pay, including some being not paid and some being over paid, since a new payroll system was introduced in March.

A Queensland Health spokesperson confirmed that some staff at Proserpine Hospital have been affected by the implementation of the new Queensland Health payroll system.

However they could not say how many or how staff had been affected.

“I would like to sincerely apologise to staff who have been affected by this implementation and assure them the Mackay Health Service District is doing all it can to rectify the issues,” the spokesperson said.

“Local staff experiencing difficulties should immediately contact their line managers, who will assist staff experiencing financial difficulties because of the system rollout.”

“There is also a Queensland Health dedicated payroll hotline to deal with emergency cases on 3636 0737.”
