Paying it back with our Payne Print store

PAYNE Print has been operating in Mackay for over 40 years but they want everyone in the Proserpine region to know they are open for your business.

The family owned and operated business specialises in all your graphic design, printing and binding needs.

Business development manager Mitch Rays has been with the company for almost six months and said he was enjoying the challenge and working with the local community.

Mr Rays said the team at Payne Print were now connecting with the Proserpine community as much as they could.

"We just want people in Proserpine to know, we're here for them," he said.

"We provide a good service with a quick turn-around.

"We're finding work's been getting done but taking six weeks, because it's being done elsewhere. We keep it as close as possible and provide a service with a turn-around a lot quicker than using outsourced business."

Payne Print purchased their printing press last year from former Whitsunday Coast Guardian owner Peter Lewis and also took over the "goodwill" of the company.

"We didn't want to leave Proserpine behind," Mr Rays said.

"We like to pride ourselves as a local business. All our printing is done in house and we encourage people to buy local."

Mr Rays said the Payne Print team had made a real effort to be part of the local community including joining the Proserpine Chamber of Commerce.

"It's about ensuring that people are supporting local business," he said.

"We still want to be part of Proserpine's success, and for the community to keep moving forward."

Payne Print is a full service printing press that can quickly produce everything from business cards, letter heads, envelopes, stickers, magnets, signage, promotional goods, invitations, flyers, menus - a full variety of anything on paper.

They've also won a number of awards for connecting in the community.

They are currently running an initiative called paper cuts that sells their recycled paper off-cuts to schools and community groups for a gold coin donation that is then forwarded to a local charity.
