Personal best set at Conway course

IT WAS a quiet weekend at Cedars last weekend but despite this, Penny Wardroper played the most outstanding round of the weekend.

She beat her personal best by 14 shots to record a score of 49 which included her first ever par.

If she can maintain this improvement she will just about be ready for an AGU ladies handicap.

Wardroper was also the organising force behind the hourly Saturday morning beginner's golf clinics which start at 10am each week and cost $5 per player.

Other than Wardroper's huge improvement, scores were generally very social with many shots being replayed, so these scores were not counted.

Fundraising for local cancer sufferers continues and a number avail themselves of The Cedars non-golf facilities which include a FIR Sauna, Chi Machine, Ionic Footspa and the newly purchased Scenar device.

Anyone wanting further information on these facilities or the beginner's clinics phone 4947 3371.
