Photographer wins medals at awards

WHITSUNDAY photographer Norina Jane was awarded three silver medals in the wedding open category at the 2012 Australian Professional Photography Awards in Melbourne last weekend.

The Iconic Bride photographer entered four prints (the maximum number of prints allowed in any one year) and was presented with an associate membership by the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers for her success in the competition over the past few years.

"It is an absolute honour to be acknowledged by our industry peers in this way, I'm thrilled," Ms Jane said.

Ms Jane's three winning entries will be published in the 23rd issue of the Australian Professional Photography Awards book to be released early next year.

"I chose four images that were totally different from each other, hoping that the judges would feel a reaction or connection to my photography," she said.

"I love what I do, I get to share in a couple's most important day and capture special moments that will be everlasting.

"To be recognised for this by my peers is an absolute honour."
