Plenty of interest in new estate

THERE are only 24 blocks left out of 49 in the first stage of the Regatta Waters Estate on the western side of Cannonvale.

The estate, which is being marketed by Ray White Whitsunday, will include a golf course and golf driving range.

Principal of Ray White Whitsunday Mark Beale said the driving range would be finished by Christmas and there had been a lot of interest in the estate including enquiries from local golfers.

He said local builders had also bought some blocks and several had been sold as house and land packages.

Mr Beale said a lot of local people were also showing interest in other properties for sale in the Airlie Beach area.

Ray White Whitsundays' next auction night will be held on June 17 at Coral Sea Resort.

They will be offering five properties including a marina berth, a block of land in Whisper Bay Estate, a home with sea views in central Airlie Beach and two homes in Mandalay. The home in Airlie Beach and one of the Mandalay properties are mortgagee sales.

Mr Beale said there had already been some interest in the vacant block of land and he expected the bidding to start at about $120,000.

"The marina berth is also good long-term investment as it is on B Arm at the old end of Abell Point and would suit a boat up to 12 metres," he said.
