Pony club riders perform well


CANNONVALLEY Pony Club members had a busy month with Danielle Zywnberg, Lachlan Gray, Amy Gray, Ella Newbery and Siena Newbery travelled to Collinsville Gymkhana on September 1-2.

Everyone competed very well with Danielle being awarded 15-17yrs reserve champion on Saturday and the high point age and overall champion on Sunday.

Ella also received reserve champion for the 9-11 years category on Saturday.

On September 8 and 9 some members travelled to Mackay Pony Club to compete while others attended a rally held at their home grounds on Saturday.

Lanie Krog, Elkie Moon-Hinschen, Bronwyn Moon and Merle Niesler competed at Proserpine Hack and Pony Club's annual hack show, beginning the day in lead classes before the hack, rider and jumping competitions.

The Bowen Gymkhana was on last weekend with Danielle again representing the club and doing a fantastic job.

October is set to be another busy time with members Sarah Dobe, Monique Van Harlman, Brianna Purvis and Tori Mansfield making the long journey to Edmington near Cairns in the first week in the school holidays to compete in the 2012 State Jump Equitation and Show Jumping Championships.
