Pop-up bank now at Supa IGA on Mill St

AS THE fallout from Cyclone Debbie continues to be felt on the ground in Proserpine, steps are being taken to get people's lives back on track.

Part of the return to normality is the setting up of a pop-up Comm Bank branch in Proserpine.

The Commonwealth Bank building on Main St bore the brunt of 260km/h winds when Debbie touched down.

The roof was ripped off and water entering the building destroyed much of the contents, hence the branch will be closed until further notice.

Last week in its place, Comm Bank installed a new pop-up branch in the Faust's Supa IGA carpark on Mill St.

The pop-up branch provides banking services such as transaction facilities, Netbank access and an ATM with a deposits function.

The pop-up branch will be open from 9.30am until 4pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30am until 5pm on Friday.
