Premier Men tame Lions

THE Whitsunday FC Premier Men put paid to their Lions opponents in convincing fashion last night.

Just minutes into the match up the home side scored, giving them a 1 - 0 lead from the outset.

The Premier Men put another on the board before half time, going into the break with a 2 - 0 advantage.

The second term saw the Lions regain their composure, claiming the first point.

It was a short lived resurgence however, with the home piling on a further five goals to win 7 - 1 at the final siren.

The tale was somewhat different in the Reserve division however, with the Lions running home 3 - 0 victors despite a valiant effort from Whitsunday FC.

The Ladies saw the home side return to winning form, recording a 4 - 2 win over the Rangers.
