IT WAS only a two-hour stopover in Australia.

However, it was enough for the Duchess of Cambridge to execute a quick change for the long-haul flight home.

Prince William and his wife, Catherine, left Queensland yesterday after stopping at Brisbane Airport.

The couple arrived in a private jet with the duchess in a floral dress from British label Erdem before she changed into a pair of skinny jeans to board a commercial flight to England.

''She looked fresh and beautiful, and they were both very gracious,'' a spokeswoman for Brisbane Airport said.
