Ravers unite

"LET the youth be a part of something bigger" were the words of Limitless Underage organiser Sophie Wellard, who is bringing a second rave to the Whitsunday Arts and Cultural Centre this Saturday.

This time, the teenage party Limitless Underage is strictly jungle-themed.

Young gun DJs such as DJ Foster, Shadow Boy, Little Miss DJ and Pablo Six will bring their house hitting sets.

Still teenagers, these DJs are paving their way in the DJ world having already performed at festivals from Stereosonic, Future Music Festival, Supernova and Schoolies events.

"I always try to make any gigs Jake (DJ Foster) picks up and every time I watch and listen to him perform it just gets better - every time - this could be the start of something big for this talented young man," Sophie said.

The drug and alcohol-free event is for anyone aged between 12-17.

There will even be prizes for best dressed.

For Sophie the task of bringing something new for the youth of the Whitsundays was always going to be hard but not impossible.

Following the success of the WACC's first teen rave, she was determined to make the next one bigger and better and even themed.

"By throwing this I am hoping to get out to teenagers that you don't need drugs and alcohol to have a good time," she said.

"I want everyone to be talking about it for a week after, saying how much fun they had, and I want there to be a popular demand so it can keep coming back."

Tickets are $20 presale or $30 on the door and can be purchased through the WACC.
