Resident stops would-be thief in his tracks inside home

QUICK actions by an East Toowoomba homeowner stopped a thief in their tracks and led to his arrest at the weekend.

Police moved quickly to arrest a man who is alleged to have walked into the home through an unlocked door while the resident was inside early Saturday morning.

The homeowner disturbed the would-be thief in his tracks and managed to detain him long enough for officers to arrive.

He was arrested and charged, and is due to face court in coming days.
