Rising stars win men's tri on Hamo

RISING stars James Seear and Joshua Amberger came first and second (respectively) in the mens' open section of the 2011 Fujifilm Hamilton Island Triathalon this weekend. The young triatheletes were joined at the top of their category by Ironman champion Peter Jacobs, who currently holds the world's number two spot.

 

James Seear claimed the triathalon's crown with a 9:49 minute swim, 33 minute cycle and 18 minute run, resulting in a time of 1:02 hours overall. James described the course as "tough, but pretty unique".

 

"It's a very unique race and something I think everyone should experience at least once," he said.
